01We source every claim, and we name the source
Every statement on this site about a rate, a tax rule, a benefit, or a law is tied to an authoritative primary source, and we link it so you can check it yourself. The sources we lean on include the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), individual state departments of insurance, the IRS, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the National Funeral Directors Association, and the Insurance Information Institute. If a number cannot be tied to a source we trust, it does not go on the page. We do not estimate figures to fill a gap.
02A licensed agent reviews it before it publishes
Every guide is researched against those sources and then reviewed by Braxton Mondell, a licensed insurance agent (NPN 22045329), before it goes live. That review is the accountability line: a real, named, licensed person stands behind the accuracy of what you read here. Pages that carry a byline are approved by the person named on them.
03We fix what is wrong, and we date what we change
If a figure is out of date or a fact is wrong, we want to correct it. When we update a page in a way that matters, we change its update date so you can see how current it is. Found something that looks off? Tell us through our contact page and we will look into it and fix it if it needs fixing.
04Our independence, and how we are paid
Policy Review Center is an independent comparison and referral service. We are not an insurance company, and we are not an agency. We earn revenue when we connect a reader with an independent licensed agent, not from any single carrier, and never from a placement in a review. That structure is the whole point: because we are not tied to one company, a review can end in the most valuable answer of all, which is that the coverage you already have is worth keeping.
05How we review carriers
Our carrier reviews lead with genuine strengths and use neutral, public information: financial strength ratings from the major agencies, published product details, and how a company fits different needs. Reviews are never sponsored, and a carrier cannot pay to change what a review says. We compare more than 20+ A-rated carriers rather than selling for one, and we do not run down products, companies, or competitors to make a point.
06This is education, not advice
Everything here is general educational information, not financial, tax, or legal advice, and not a recommendation to buy or cancel any specific policy. Insurance rules and product availability vary by state and change over time, so confirm the details that apply to you with a licensed professional or the relevant authority. Any actual coverage decision is completed through the independent licensed agents we connect you with.
